The singer and actress Vanessa Paradis was very successful as a singer at the end of the 80's, her greatest hit was "Joe Le Taxi".

Already at the age of 8 she sang in front of the camera for "Antenne 2" and came in contact with the media at a young age.
The next year she took part at the Eurovision for children and recorded her first disc. In those years her uncle Didier Pain was very important for her who promoted her career.
The breakthrough came in 1987 with the hit "Joe Le Taxi" and Vanessa Paradis became a star overnight. It followed her first album in cooperation with Roda-Gil/Langolff.

When she took part in the movie "Noce blanche" in 1989 she surprised the critics and won their respect at the first go. Her acting performance was even awarded with the César.

Still Vanessa Paradis decided to concentrate on her vocal career for the present. She worked among others with Serge Gainsbourg and created a new image of her. She won the music prize as best performer in 1990. After that came another album into being with Lenny Kravitz.

Therefore it lasted more than five years till she made a comeback on the big screen with Jean Becker's "Elisa" (95) at Gérard Depardieu's side.

In the next years followed other movies like "Un amour de sorcière" (97), "Une chance sur deux" (98), "La fille sur le pont" (99) and "Atomik Circus - Le retour de James Bataille" (04).
