Ferdinand Exl

The actor Ferdinand Exl began his stage career at the Bauerntheater in Pradl before he founded his own theater with the "Exl-Bühne" in Wilten. After his move to Innsbruck he took over the management of the Stadttheater, later he also founded the Innsbrucker Kammerspiele.

He already appeared in front of the camera in 1913 for the movie "Die Todesbraut/Speckbacher" (13). But his engagements in the film business remained limited.
In the 20s followed few more silent movies with "Glaube und Heimat" (21) and "Kaiserjäger" (28).

His last cinematical works came at the beginning of the 40s during World War II into being with "Der Feuerteufel" (40) and "Der Meineidbauer" (41).
