Martha Hübner

The actress Martha Hübner began her artistic career as a singer when she appeared at the "Klimperkasten" in 1914 for the first time. In the next years she worked regular at the Nollendorff theater.

She became established as a humorist at the new opened Admiralspalast in Berln. She soon became a popular comedian at numerous theaters in Berlin.

She entered the film business in 1917 and she impersonated roles in few silent movies.
To these works belong "Theaterprinz" (17), "Arme Thea" (19), "Fürst Sally" (19), "Der Klapperstorchverband" (19) and "Die weisse Maus" (19).

Afterwards she concentrated to her stage career again.
Only after World War II she appeared again in front of the camera for few productions.
To these movies belong "Razzia" (47), "Um eine Nasenlänge" (49), "Eine Nacht im Separee" (50), "Prost Mahlzeit!" (55) as well as the short movies "Das Stacheltier: Kleine Fische" (56) and "Das Stacheltier: Das schwarze Wunder" (56).
