. The actor Cornelius Kirschner began his professional career as a chemist when he had finished his studies. Beside it he made first experiences at the theater as an extra before he dedicate to the theater totally. His theater engagements led him via small stages in Wels and Olmütz to Budapest, Breslau and Berlin. He became a member at the Raimundtheater from 1893 to 1910 and afterwards at the Deutsches Volkstheater till 1927. Cornelius Kirschner appeared in front of the camera in 1920 for the first time for "Das vierte Gebot" (20). Till to the end of the silent movie era followed other productions like "Kleider machen Leute" (21), "Die Spur im Dunkeln" (21), "Der Meineidbauer" (26), "Seine Hoheit, der Eintänzer" (27), "Der Geliebte seiner Frau" (28) and "Die Frau von gestern und morgen" (28).
