Harry Langewisch

The actor, singer and screenwriter Harry Langewisch studied German philology before he decided to become an actor.
After acting lessons he made his stage debut at the Stadttheater Rostock in 1920. Other engagements led him among others to Leipzig and Berlin.

He joined the film business in 1941 where he played his first role in "Komödianten" (41).
It followed few more productions with "Paracelsus" (43) and the unfinished movie "Der Fall Molander" (45).

Beside hit Harry Langewisch wrote few screenplays for "Kaninchen" (44), "Böcke und Geissen" (44) and "Dämonisches Afrika" (52). For "Böcke und Geissen" (44) he was also the director.

Harry Langewisch also worked regularly for the radio where he was a speaker in radio plays. He also was a singer at the radio for the operetta "Das Land des Lächelns" (55).
