Hans Peppler

The actor Hans Peppler began his stage career about 1900 and his engagements led him among others to Sondershausen, Hanover, Königsberg, Breslau, Zurich, Vienna and Berlin.
During this time he was not only active as an actor but he also realised numerous plays as a director.

He entered the film business during the silent movie era and he impersonated roles in the silent movies "Das Recht zu leben" (27), "Sacco und Vanzetti" (27), "Tingel Tangel" (27) and "Andere Frauen" (28).

In the sound film era he impersonated few more roles in productions like "Es gibt eine Frau, die dich niemals vergisst" (30), "Der König von Paris" (30), "Brand in der Oper" (30) and "1914, die letzten Tage vor dem Weltbrand" (31).

Besides his activity as an actor he also worked as an acting teacher.

Hans Peppler died at the age of only 47 in 1930 because of complications of a appendectomy.
