The actor and director Arthur Ullmann appeared in 1912 in front of the camera for the first time for "Die Papierspur" (12).
In the next years followed other movies as an actor with "Ein Schwur" (13), "Stuart Webbs: Das Panzergewölbe" (14), "Der rote Faden" (15) and "Das Geheimnis der Villa Dox" (17).

Also in 1912 he realised his first movie as a director with "Der Strohwitwer" (12).
Other directed movies followed with "Bob Cray" (16), "Das alte Bild" (18) and "Die Tochter des Bajazzo" (19).

In 1925 he was responsible as a production manager for "Zapfenstreich" (25) for the first time.
He was engaged in this function in the sound film era of the 30s again, among other for "Das Mädchen Irene" (36), "Land der Liebe" (37), "Gastspiel im Paradies" (38), "Meine Tante - deine Tante" (39), "Stukas" (41) and "Illustion" (41).
