. The actor Patrick Aherne began his successful film career in the 20'0s. To his first movies belong "The Cost of Beauty" (24), "Thou Fool" (26), "The Silver Lining" (27), "Love's Option" (28) and "The Inseparables" (29). He was able to continue his career in the 30's and he took part in the productions "Come Into My Parlour" (32), "My Old Duchess" (33), "The Return of Bulldog Drummond" (34), "Falling in Love" (35) and "Q Planes" (39). In the 40's and especially in the 50's followed numerous engagements in front of the camera, to these movies belong "Warn That Man" (43), "Singapore" (47), Alfred Hitchcock's "The Paradine Chase" (47), "The Callenge" (48), "Lorna Doone" (51), "The Son of Dr. Jekyll" (51), "Titanic" (53), "The Court Jester" (56) and Hitchcock's "The Man Who Knew Too Much" (56). Patrick Aherne's brother Brian Aherne became
also a popular actor.
