. The actor Edgar L. Davenport was born as Edgar Loomis Davenport in Roxbury, Massachusetts. He was a successful theater actor in the 19th century. In the last years of his life he was also engaged for the new medium film and took part in the early silent movies "The American Princess" (13), "Wildflower" (14), "Samson" (15), "Four Feathers" (15) and together with the later star Lionel Barrymore in the movies "The Upheavel" (16) and "Dorian's Divorce" (16). His new career in the film business was premature ended with his early
death in 1918. His last movie was "Great White Trail" (17) with Doris
Kenyon.
