. The actress Violet Farebrother already made her film debut in 1911 with "Richard III" (11), but it lasted sixteen years till she appeared regular in front of the camera. Her second movie "Downhill" (27) was directed by the great Alfred Hitchock and it followed two more movies with Hitchcock - "Easy Virtue" (28) and "Murder!" (30). To her other movies of the 30's belong "Enemy of the Police" (33), "Nine Forty-Five" (34), "It's a Bet" (35) and "Pearls of the Crown" (37). Afterwards her activity in front of the camera diminished, to her last
movies belong "The Voice Within" (45), "The Woman for Joe" (55), "Fortune
Is a Woman" (57) and "The Solitary Child" (58).
