. The actress Lilian Hall-Davis was a popular English silent movie actress who began her career with the movie "The Admirable Crichton" (18). In the 20's she became a very demanded actress who took part in the productions "The Honeypot" (20), "The Wonderful Story" (22), "The Game of Life" (22), "Married Love" (23) and "The Knockout" (23). In 1924 followed the Italian monumental movie "Quo Vadis?", in which she played at Emil Jannings' side. After that she appeared in the German productions "Der Farmer aus Texas" (26) and "Wolga Wolga" (28). She also became well-known to a wide public with her roles in Hitchcock's early movies "The Ring" (27) and "The Farmer's Wife" (28). She could only took part in two more movies in the 30's - "Many Waters"
(31) and "Her Reputation" (31). Trouble by growing depressions she decided
to commit suicide in 1933.
