The actor Nelson Keys could already look back on a successful stage career when he appeared in a movie for the first time.
To his first movies belong "The Real Thing at Last" (16) and "Once Upon a Time" (18).

His film appearances in the 20's kept rare too, among others he took part in "Castles in the Air" (23), "Madame Pompadour" (27) and "The Triumph of the Scarlet Pimpernel" (28).
In 1927 he founded together with Herbert Wilcox the "British and Dominions Film Corporation". They leased a three-storied studio at Elstree and called it "Imperial Studios".

Nelson Keys also appeared in some talkies of the 30's like "Almost a Divorce" (31), "The Last Journey" (36), "Dreams Come True" (36) and "Knights for a Day" (37) before he died because of a heart failure.
