. The actress Helena Pickard was a busy stage actress who also appeared in some movies in the course of her career. She made her film debut with "The Clickin of Cuthbert" (24), it was also her only silent movie at the same time. She got married with the famous actor Cedric Hardwicke in 1927, the marriage was divorced again in 1950. In the next years she took part in talkies like "Lord Richard in the Pantry" (30), "Cupboard" (31), "Nell Gwyn" (34) and "Limelight" (36). In the 40's followed appearances in the productions "Saloon Bar" (40), "The Lodger" (44) and "The Turners of Prospect Road" (47). In the 50's came her last big screen movies into being like "The Lady with a Lamp" (51) and "Double Cross" (58), it followed two roles in two episodes of TV serials "Dixon of Dock Green: Third Time Lucky" (58) and "The Four Just Men: Money to Burn" (60). Her son Edward Hardwicke became also an actor.
