. The actress Jobyna Ralston was born as Jobyna Lancaster Raulston in South Pittsburg, Tennessee. She began her career at the beginning of the 20's with "The Call of Home" (22). At the same year she played at the side of the legendary French comedian Max Linder in "The Three Must-Get-Theres" (22). In 1923 began her film partnership with the famous comedian Harold Lloyd. They acted together in the movies "Why Worry?" (23), "Girl Shy" (24), "Hot Water" (24), "The Freshman" (25), "For Heaven's Sake" (26) and "The Kid Brother" (27). Besides the movies with Harold Lloyd she also took part in other productions, among others at Rod la Rocque's side in "Gigolo" (26), with Clara Bow and a young Gary Cooper in "Wings" (27) and with Douglas Fairbanks jr. in "The Toilers" (28) and "The Power of the Press" (28). With the rise of the talkies Jobyna Ralston ended her career, the movies "Rough Waters" (30) and "Sheer Luck" (31) were her last cinematical works. She was married with the actor Richard Arlen.
