Die Illustratorin Ariane Elsammak war schon früh Mutter geworden und so besuchte sie nächtliche Lektionen an der School of Visual Arts in New York City und an der DuCret School of Art in New Jersey, um Berufs- und Familienleben zusammenzubringen. Ein von ihr bevorzugtes Motiv sind Tiere, die sie in all deren Aspektek zu Papier brachte.
