The actress Mireille Darc was born as Mireille Aigroz in Toulon. She
experienced the height of her career in the 60's and 70's where she soon
became very popular because of her cool erotic.
She first began as a mannequin before she became an actress. It followed
first appearances on television and finally she made her film debut with
"Les distractions" (60) on the big screen. It followed movies like "Mourir
d'amour" (60), "Virginie" (62), "Pouic-Pouic" (63), "Monsieur" (64), "Les
barbouzes" (64) and "Les bons vivants" (65) before she managed her breakthrough
with "Galia" (66).
Mireille Dark took part in other popular productions like "Du rififi
à Paname" (66), "A belles dents" (66), "Week End" (67), "Summit"
(68), "Jeff" (69) and "Monte Carlo or Bust" (69).
In the 70's followed another height in her career. She appeared at Jean-Paul
Belmondo's side in the box-office hit "Borsalino" (70) and afterwards turned
Pierre Richard's head in the comedy "Le grand blond avec une chaussure
noire" (72) and "Le retour du grand blond" (74).
Other well-known movies of those years were "Il était une fois
un flic" (71), "La valise" (73), "OK patron" (74), "Les passagers" (77)
and "Les ringards" (78).
Her appearances in front of the camera diminished from the 80's and
she had to bear some bad blows.
She was among others operated at the open heart, then she sustained
a car accident and she was confined to the bed for several months and her
life was touch and go with her. Finally it followed the separation from
Alain Delon with whom she lived together for 15 years.
But Mireille Darc hold her own and continued her film as well as her
theater career successfully.
