The actress Mylène Demongeot was born as Marie-Hélène
Demongeot in Nizza.
She attended a course in drama by Marie Ventura was in the limelight
as a cover girl for the first time.
She already made her film debut in 1953 with "Les enfants de l'amour"
(53), it followed "Papa, maman, ma femme et moi" (56), "It's a Wonderful
World" (56), "Les sorcières de Salem" (57), "Bonjour tristesse"
(58) and "La battaglia di Maratona" (59).
She had her breakthrough in the 60's and took part in some very popular
productions.
To her well-known movies of those years belong "Les troi mousquetaires:
Les ferrets de la reine" (61) and "Les trois mousquetaires: La vengeance
de Milady" (61) - in the role of Lady de Winter, "A cause, à cause
d'une femme" (63), the great success "Fantômas" (64) with Louis
de Funès, "Onkel Toms Hütte" (65), "Fantômas se déchaîne
(65), "Fantômas contre Scotland Yard" (67) and "Un cigarette pour
un ingénu" (68).
She was able to continue her film career in the 70's and 80's successfully
and she impersonated roles in productions like "L'explosion" (71), "Les
pavillons de verre" (72), "Il faut vivre dangereusement" (75), "Signé
Furax" (81), "J'ai bien l'honneur" (84), "Tenue de soirée" (86)
and some episodes of the TV serial "Il professore" (88-89).
After that she only appeared seldom in front of the camera. To her last
cinematical works belong "La piste du télégraphe" (94), "Adventures
of Smoke Bellew" (95) and "36" (04).
Mylène Demongeot ownen the production company Kangarou Films
together with her husband Marc Simenon and produced among others the movie
"Signé Furax".
