. The actress Suzanne Despres learnt her acting abilities at the conservatory in Paris where she finished in 1897 with a first price in the category "comedy" and a second price in the category "tragedy". Later followed successful appearances in plays, some of them were produced by her husband, the actor manager Aurélien Lugné-Poe. In the next years followed performances at different theaters, among them at the Comédie Française. She acted in a movie for the first time in 1915 called "Les soeurs ennemies" (15), in the 20s followed other silent movies like "Le carnaval des vérités" (20), "Pierre et Jean" (24) and "Le tournoi dans la cité" (28). Her last appearances in front of the camera came in the 30s into being,
among others she played in "Maria Chapdelaine" (34), "L'équipage"
(35), "Boissière" (37), "Le drame de Shanghai" (38) and "Quartier
sans soleil" (39).
