. The actress Monette Dinay was born as Simone Elise Dinet. She took part in a movie in 1931 for the first time called "Le banc et le noir" (31) and in the next years she became established as a busy movie actress. To her other movies of the 30s belong "Un beau jour de noces" (32), "Le gros lot" (33), "Madame Bovary" (33), "Turandot, princesse di Chine" (35) and "Prends la route" (36). During World War II she only appeared in few more pictures, among them "Vidocq" (40) and "Coup de feu dans la nuit" (43). She continued her film career after the war and acted in productions like "Retour à la vie" (49), "Le dossier noir" (55), "Rencontre à Paris" (56), "La traversée de Paris" (56) and "Ni vu, ni connu" (58).
