. The filmcomposer Francis Lai became famous to an international public in one go with his sensitive melodie for „Love Story“ (70), for which he was awarded with an Oscar. But his career as a filmcomposer already startet in the 60's when he wrote the music to movies of Roger Vadim and Claude Lelouch. To his impressive works of the 60's belong the productions „Un homme et une femme - Ein Mann und eine Frau“ (66), „Le soleil des voyous“ (66), „Vivre pour vivre“ (67), „Mon amour, mon amour“ (67), „Mayerling“ (68), „La vie, l‘amour, la mort“ (69), „Three Into Two Won‘t Go“ (69), „Hannibal Brooks“ (69), „Un homme qui me plait“ (69), „Madly“ (69) and „Du soleil plein les yeux“ (69). After the huge success of „Love Story“ he was able to consolidate his fame as a composer with the composition to the movie „Le passager de la pluie“ (70). He also continued his collaboration with the director Claude Lelouch in the 70's, among them „Le Voyou“ (70), „L‘aventure, c‘est l‘aventure“ (72), „La bonne année“ (73), „Le chat et la souris“ (75) and „Un autre homme, une autre chance“ (77). Beside it he succeed time and again by composing romantic melodies and he soon gut the reputation of a master of romantic music - you only have to mention the melodious composition for „Emmanuelle“ (74) and „Bilitis“ (77).
