.
. The director and screenwriter Patrice Leconte came to the film via his talent as an illustrator. He began his career as a drawer and autor for the journal "Pilote". After first short movies as a director like "L'espace vital" (69) and "Le laboratoire de l'anglisse" (71) he realised his first motion picture with the comic adaption "Les vécés étaient fermées de l'interieur" (76) with Coluche and Jean Rochefort. The film did not attract the attention of the audience and the critics but this changed with his next movie "Les bronzés" (78), it followed the sequel "Les bronzés font du ski" (79). He had his final breakthrough as a regarded director in the 80s and he worked together with nearly all great actors and actresses of the French film. To his well-known movies of those years belong "Ma femme s'appelle reviens" (82), "Les spécialistes" (85), "Tandem" (87) and finally "Monsieur Hire" (89) which brought him huge esteem. Patrice Leconte realised other successful movies in the 90s, among them "Le mari de la coiffeuse" (90), "Tango" (93), "Le parfum d'Yvonne" (94), "Les grands ducs" (96), "Ridicule" (96) which was nominated for an Oscar as the best foreign movie, "Une chance sur deux" (98) with the two old stars Jean-Paul Belmondo and Alain Delon as well as "La fille sur le pont" (99). To Patrice Leconte's latest productions belong "Félix et Lola" (01), "Rue des plaisirs" (02), "Mon meilleur ami" (06) and "La guerre des miss" (08). To his favoured actors belong Philippe Noiret, Jean Rochefort and Michel Blanc. Besides his activity as a director he often wrote the script for his own movies. Other movies with Emilie Dequenne:
