. The actress Gina Manes began her film career with "Six coeurs des sex petites filles" (16), three years later followed the movie "L'homme sans visage" (19) directed by Feuillade. In the 20's followed the height of Gina Manes' career and she took part in well-known productions like "Le sept de trèfle" (21), "La nuit rouge" (23),"L'auberge rouge" (23), "Le soleil de minuit" (25), "Sables" (27), "Napoléon" (27), "Thérèse Raquin" (28) and the German movies "Mädchenschicksale" (28), "Die kleine Sklavin" (28), "Die Heilige und ihr Narr" (28) and "Schiff in Not S.O.S." (29). Her last great successes came in the 30's into being and she was convoncing in "Salto Mortale" (31), "Grock" (31), "La voie sans disque" (33), "Napoléon Bonaparte" (34), "Barcarolle" (35), "La mystérieuse Lady" (36), "Le diable en bouteille" (36), "Mayerling" (36) and "Fort Dolores" (38). Afterwards her appearances in front of the camera diminished and she dedicated again to the theater where she often acted in Toulouse. To her movies after World War II belong "La danseuse de Marrakech" (49),
"Il visconte di Bragelonne" (54), "Le secret de soeur Angèle" (56),
"La loi des rues" (56), "Rafles sur la ville"(58), "Un certain Monsieur
Jo" (58), "Le joueur" (58), "Pas de panique" (66) and "Bonaparte et la
révolution" (71).
