. The actor and director Raymond Rouleau made his film debut in 1929 with "L'argent". In the next years followed other productions like "Suzanne" (32), "Le jugement de minuit" (32), "Une vie perdue" (33), "Donogoo" (36), "Le drame de Shanghaï" (38) and "Conflit"(39). Already at the beginning of the 30's he realised his first movies as a director, among them "Suzanne" (32), "Trois...six...neuf" (36), "Rose" (36) and "Le messager" (37). He took over the direction of the theater du Marais in 1935 and had soon the reputation of an international actor. Beside it he also wrote a play with the title "L'admirable visite". He successfully continued his film career in the 40's and took part in the productions "Lassassinat du Père Noël" (41), "La femme que j'ai le plus aimée" (42), "L'honorable Catherine" (43), "Falbalas" (45), "Le couple idéal" (46), "Dernier refuge" (47), "Vertiges" (47) and "Mission à Tanger" (49). To his last cinematical works as an actor belong "Méfiez-vous
des blondes" (50), "Massacre en dentelles" (52), "Les intrigantes" (54),
"Les sorcières de Salem" (57) and "La grande frousse" (64).
