. The director and writer André Téchiné was first a film critic before he began to realise his own movies from 1970. His first work as a director was "Paulina s'en va - Paulina haut ab" (70). It followed other productions like "Barocco" (76), "Les soeurs Brontë" (79), "Hôtel des Amériques" (81), "Rendez-vous" (85), for which he was awarded as best director at Cannes and "Les innocents" (87). He continued his career successfully in the 90's and he realised movies like "Ma saison préférée" (93), "Les roseaux sauvages - Wilde Herzen" (94), for which he got the César as best director, "Les voleurs" (96) and "Alice et Martin" (98). To his latest cinematical works belong "Les égarés" (03) and "Les témoins" (07). André Téchiné also wrote nearly all scripts for
his movies himself.
