. The actress Odile Versois was born as Katiana de Poliakoff-Baidaroff in Paris. After a dancing education she first appeared as a dancer under the pen name Tania Baydarova from 1936 to 1946. Afterwards she started her cinematical career at the age of 18 with "Les dernières vacances" (48), it followed "Fantômas contre Fantômas" (49) and "Orage d'été" (49). Beside it she also appeared regularly on stage. She continued her film career in the next decades, among others also in English spoken productions. To her well-known movies of those years belong "Into the Blue" (50), "La répétition manquée" (52), "A Day to Remember" (53), "The Young Lovers" (54), "Sophie et le crime" (55), "Herrscher ohne Krone" (57), "Le rendez-vous" (61), "Cartouche" (62), "Le pain de ménage" (64) and "Benjamin ou Les mémoires d'un puceau" (68). To her last cinematical works belong "Eglantine" (72), "Le milliardaire" (76), "Richelieu" (77), "Les enquêtes du commissaire Maigret" (80) and "Julien Fontanes, magistrat" (80). Odile Versois died in 1980 at the age of only 50 years because of cancer. Odile Versois family was very artistic - her father was the opera singer Vladimir de Poliakoff and her mother the dancer Militza Enwald. Her sisters Olga Baidar-Poliakoff, Hélène Vallier and Marina Vlady became actresses as well. Odile Versois was among others married with the actor Jacques Dacqmine. Other movies with Odile Versois:
