. The actress Suzy Vernon was born as Appollinie Paris in Nizza. She started her acting career on different stages at the end of the 10s and had first successes. When she made her film debut with "La conquête des Gaules" (22) it marked the beginning of a very successful career both in France and Germany. She impersonated roles in the productions "Das Bildnis" (23) directed by Jacques Feyder, "Barocco" (25), "Die Rache der Pharaonen" (25), "Nitchevo" (26), "Gauner im Frack" (27), Abel Gance's "Napoléon" (27), "Der letzte Walzer" (27) with Willy Fritsch, "Schuldig" (28), "Indizienbeweis" (29), "Tu m'appartiens!" (29) with Francesca Bertini and "Das grüne Monokel" (29) in the next years. The transfer to the sound film was no problem for her she continued her film career with "Le masque d'Hollywood" (30), "La femme de mes rêves" (31), "Un homme en habit" (31), "Miche" (32), "Le chasseur de chez Maxim's" (33), "Les époux scandaleux" (35), "Napoléon Bonaparte" (35) and "Un homme et sa femme" (39). After the movie "Retour au bonheur" (42) she retired from the film business. Later she got married and lived in the Middle East afterwards.
