The way to become an actor was traced out early for Lambert wilson,
already his fahter Georges Wilson was active as an actor.
Lambert Wilson attended an education at the drama centre in London
and made his film debut in 1977 with "Julia" (77).
First followed smaller roles in "Le gendarme et les extra-terrestres"
(79), "New Generation" (79), "Lady Oscar" (80) und "La boum 2" (82).
When he was engaged by the legendary director Fred Zinnemann for the
movie "Five Days One Summer" (82) he impersonated his first leading role
at Sean Connery's side.
It followed successful productions like "Sahara" (83), "Le sang des
autres - Das Blut der anderen" (84), "Rendez-vous" (85), "Bleu comme l'enfer"
(86), "La storia" (87), "The Belly of an Architect - Der Bauch des Architekten"
(87) and "Les possédés - Die Dämonen" (88).
Lambert Wilson was active in France as well as in the international
film business in the next years.
To these movies belong "Un homme et deux femmes" (91), "Frankenstein"
(93), "Jefferson in Paris" (95), "The Leading Man" (96), "Marquise" (97),
"The Last September" (99), "Don Quixote" (00) and box-office hits "The
Matrix Reloaded" (03) and "The Matrix Revolutions" (03).
Besides his career as a filmactor he also dedicated to the theater where
he was very successfully too, among others at Judi Dench's and Kristin
Scott Thomas' side.
In 1989 he published a song album and toured through France as a singer.
Lambert Wilson was nominated for five Césars.
