. The actor Jean Worms, whose parents Blanche Barretta and Gustave Worms were active at the Comédie-Française, belonged to the Frenchi film pioneers and his first movie can be backdated to 1910 where he appeared in "L'auberge rouge" (10). He became established in the still emerging silent film era with movies like "Une vengeance d'Edgar Poë" (12), "Méprise fatale" (12), "Par la vérité" (17) and "Marion de Lorme" (18). In the 20s he only appeared very seldom in movies like "Miss Rovel" (21). Only in the sound film of the 30s his cinematical engagements increased again and he impersonated numerous support roles in movies like "Rive gauche" (31), "Fantômas" (32), "Le masque qui tombe" (33), "Le billet de mille" (35), "La garçonne" (36), "L'argent" (36), "Gribouille" (37), "La tragédie impériale" (38) and "La loi du nord" (39). Jean Worms remained active as an actor till to his death, to his last
movies belong "Vidocq" (40), "De Mayerling à Sarajevo" (40) and
"Une femme disparaît" (44).
