Noch in der College-Zeit begann Craig Safan, sich für Filmmusik
zu interessieren und seine ersten Filmkompositionen entstanden ab 1975
für "The California Reich" (75), "The Great Texas Dynamite Chase"
(76), "The Last of the Cowboys" (77), "Corvette Summer" (78) und "Survival
of Dana" (79).
In den 80er Jahren etablierte sich Craig Safan endgültig als
Filmkomponist und er wurde auch für grössere Produktionen herangezogen.
Zu seinen bekanntesten Arbeiten dieser Jahre zählen "Fade to
Black" (80), "Nightmares" (83), "The Last Starfighter" (84),"Mirrors" (85),
"Remo Williams: The Adventure Begins" (85), "I-Man" (86), "Timestalkers"
(87), "The Stranger" (87), "A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master"
(88) und "The Revenge of Al Capone" (89).
In den kommenden Jahren entstanden weitere Filmkompositionen für
"Long Road Home" (91), "Breaking the Silence" (92), "Miracle Child" (93),
"Without Warning" (94), "Major Payne" (95), "Mr. Wrong" (96) und "Operation
Splitsville" (99).
Zu seinen jüngsten filmischen Arbeiten gehören "Delivering
Milo" (01), "Time of Fear" (02) und "Ringling Bros. Revealed: The Greatest
Show on Earth" (03).
