The actor and director Alexander von Antalffy began his film career at the German silent film where he became especially popular with his roles as a detective and as a Jack of all trades.
To his first movies belong "Das Geheimnis des Turmes" (13), "Der Verräter" (14), "Das Millionenhalsband" (14) and "Der Spieler" (15).

In the second half of the 10s followed successful appearances in "Dick Carter" (16), "Der Mann im Spiegel" (16), "Christa Hartungen" (17), "Die Prinzessin von Neutralien" (17), "Das Kainzeichen" (18) and the Hungarian production "A kis lord/Der kleine Lord" (18).

His last movies as an actor came at the beginning of the 20s into being and Alexander von Antalffy impersonated roles in "Das Zeichen des Malayen" (20), "Die Strahlen des Todes" (20), "Arme Violetta" (21), "Die Silbermöve" (22) and "Ein Traum ein Leben" (24).

Besides his activity as an actor Alexander von Antalffy also realised several movies as a director, among them "Lulu" (17), "Das Rätsel von Bangalor" (18) together with the director Paul Leni, "A testör/Der Leibgardist" (18), "A kis lord/Der kleine Lord" (18), "Das goldene Buch" (19) - for this movie he was also responsible as a production designer and "Kauft Mariett-Aktien" (22).
