Betty Astor

The actress Betty Astor (her real name was Berta Baesel) appeared on the German big screen from 1925 for the first time, her career was confined to the silent movie but few exceptions.

She made her film debut with "Vorderhaus und Hinterhaus" (25), it followed the productions "Dürfen wir schweigen?" (26), "Gehetzte Frauen" (27) and "Dr. Bessels Verwandlung" (27) folgten.

In the years 1928 and 1929 she took part in a multitude of movies once more, among them "Die Rothausgasse" (28), "Unfug der Liebe" (28), "Die Garde-Diva" (29) and "Einmal um Mitternacht" (29).

With the talkies "Masken" (30) and "Das Gesicht der Strasse" (33) she ended her film career.
