The actor Georg Bauer was working at the German film for twenty years. To his first movies belong "Weiberregiment" (36), "IA in Oberbayern" (36) and "Die Pfingstorgel" (38).
During the wartime he took part in the movies "Das sündige Dorf" (40), "Liebesschule" (40) and "Der scheinheilige Florian" (41) auf.

After the war he continued his career in the 50's with movies with a regional background. To his last movies belong "Der Herrgottschnitzer von Ammergau" (52), "Schloss Hubertus" (54), "Der Fischer vom Heiligensee" (55) and "Das Schweigen im Walde" (55).
