. The actor Franz Baumann normally worked at the theater during his long-standing career. He made his film debut in 1919 with "Die weisse Rose von Ravensberg". It followed other silent movies like "Hoppla, Herr Lehrer" (20), "Ich war zu Heidelberg Student" (27) and "Das deutsche Lied" (28), In the sound film era he only appeared in the movie "Student sein, wenn die Veilchen blühen" (31). After his activity as a movie actor he wrote lyrics for several movies,
among them the productions "Flüchtlinge" (33), "Das Mädchen Irene"
(36), "Die Stimme des Herzens" (37), "Der Bettelstudent" (36), "Ave Maria"
(36), "Urlaub auf Ehrenwort" (37), "La Habanera" (37), "Capriccio" (38),
"Nanon" (38) and "Mein Leben für Irland" (41).
