The actress Charlotte Böcklin conquered the German screen in 1918 and became a popular actress in no time at all.
Her active time in the film business covered only few years but she was able to impersonate some impressive roles.

To her well-known movies belong "Der Weg, der zur Verdammnis führt" (18), "Weib gegen Weib" (18), "Die Okarina" (19) with Conrad Veidt and "Die schwarze Marion" (19).

In the 20's followed her last appearances in front of the camera. To these productions belong "Die andere Welt" (20), "Fata Morgana" (20) and "Die Buddenbrooks" (23).
