. The actress Mary Brandt appeared in 1919 in her first movie "Der Dorfkaplan" (19) where she played the cook of the priest with Viktor Gehring and Elly Lys. Her last cinematical works came already in the 20s into being. To these works belong the silent movies "Die Hexe von Lolaruh" (20) playing the role of a hag with Lutz Götz, Otto Kronburger and Friedrich Ulmer, Josef Berger's "Im Rausche der Milliarden" (22) at the side of Fritz Greiner, Dary Holm and Ernst Rückert, "Um Recht und Liebe" (23) directed by and with Josef Berger, Rolf Pinegger, Hanni Reinwald and Cäsar Beck, "Gehetzte Frauen" (23) with Ernst Rückert and Dary Holm, Otto Rippert's "Die Tragödie zweier Menschen" (25) with Fritz Greiner and "Die kleine Inge und ihre drei Väter" (26) directed by Franz Osten with Dorothea Wieck, Oscar Marion, Harry Hardt and Carl Walther Meyer. |
