Trude Brionne

. The actress and singer Trude Brionne was born as Gertrude von Borkenau in Berlin. After an acting education she entered the world of the theater from the middle of the 20s and she was engaged on different stages in Vienna. When she went to Berlin in 1930 she appeared on stag again, in the same year she also made her film debut with „Va Banque“ (30) and „Bockbierfest“ (30). In the next years came few more movies into being like „Der Kongress tanzt“ (31), „Ehe mit beschränkter Haftung“ (31), „Skandal in der Parkstrasse“ (32), „Mieter Schulze gegten alle“ (32), „...und wer küsst mich?“ (33), „Walterzkrieg“ (33) and „Du bist entzückend, Rosmarie!“ (34). Afterwards her career came to an end under the NS regime because of racial reasons. Together with her husband Count Ervin von Nostitz-Rieneck she emigrated to the USA, after the war the couple returned to Vienna. |
