. The actor Otto Collin got acting lessons in Frankfurt before he made his stage debut in Dessau in 1927. In the next years followed engagements in Mainz, Berlin, Munich and Cologne among others. Otto Collin impersonated his first movie roles in 1937 for the productions "Condottieri" (37) and "Die Warschauer Zitadelle" (37). It followed a longer interruption before he continued his film career from 1956 - often for television. To his movies after World War II belong "Montserrat" (57), "Der Datterich" (58), "Raskolnikoff" 59), "Paris, 20. Juli" (60), "Die Bande des Schreckens" (60), "Der Fälscher von London" (61) and "Mirjam und der Lord vom Rummelplatz" (78). He also continued his stage career after the war where he remained busy till to his death. Besides his activity as an actor he also spoke roles for radio plays.
