Arzén von Cserépy

. The director, producer and writer Arzén von Cserépy - who also used the pseudonym Konrad Wieder - first earned his living by working in the car business before he wrote his first screenplay for the successful film serial with Stuart Webbs - "Das Panzergewölbe (14). Only one year later he realised his first movie as a director with "Der ewige Friede" (15), it followed other movies like "Colomba" (18), "Das Land der Sehnsucht" (18) and "Ballskandal" (19). Arzén von CserPöy remained active in Germany till to the middle of the 30s and he shot oter movies as a director with "Die Büchse der Pandora" (21), "Fridericus Rex" (23), "Der Choral von Leuthen" (33), "Ein Mädchen mit Prokura" (34) and "Nur nicht weich werden, Susanne!" (35). Finally he left Germany and he went to Hungary where he realised his last movies as a director with "Földindulas" (40) and "Szeressük egymast" (41). He remained active as a screenwriter till 1932 and he wrote the script for the productions "Die Rose von Dschiandur" (18), "Das Mädchen aus der Ackerstrasse, 1. Teil" (20), "Fridericus Rex" (22) and "Marschall vorwärts" (32). Besides his activity as a director and screenwriter he was also responsible as a producer for many movies with his company "Cserépy-Film Co. GmbH". To these works belong "Seltsame Köpfe" (16), "Maria Magdalena" (20), "Katharina die Grosse" (20), "Fridericus Rex" (23), "Alt Heidelberg" (23), "Ein Mädchen mit Prokura" (34) and "Nur nicht weich werden, Susanne!" (35).
