Joseph Dallmann

. The screenwriter Josep Dallmann was born as Joseph Dallmeier in Regensburg. He was successful as an author of novels before he wrote his first screenplay in 1920 for "Der unheimliche Chinese" (20). From 1928 he became a demanded screenwriter and to his movies belong "Das Geheimnis von Genf" (28), "Die Hölle von Montmartre" (29), "Bruder Bernhard" (29) and "Wenn der weisse Flieder wieder blüht" (29). His most busy time came in the sound film era of the 30s into being where he he wrote the play for many productions. To his well-known works of those years belong "Die Mutter der Kompagnie" (31), "Der Schützenkönig" (32), "S.A.-Mann Brand" (33), "Bei der blonden Kathrein" (34), "Der Jäger von Fall" (36), "Das Schweigen im Walde" (37) and "Der arme Millionär" (39). His last cinematical works came during World War II into being with "Links der Isar - rechts der Spree" (40), "Das sündige Dorf" (40) and "Der Ochsenkrieg" (43).
