The actress Erika Dannhoff began her film career already in the silent
movie era. To her first movies belong "Der Mann mit dem Laubfrosch" (28)
and "Adieu Mascotte" (29).
She experience her career height in the 30's. She was convincing in
"Berge in Flammen" (31) and "An heiligen Wassern" (32) before she had her
breakthrough with the movie "Der Rebell" (32).
She took part in the following years in movies like "Carlos schönstes
Abenteuer" (34), "Viktoria" (35) and "Waldrausch" (39). During wartime
she didn't work in any movies.
She only continued her film career in the 50's again with "Das Beil
von Wandsbek" (51) and "Anastasia - die letzte Zarentochter" (56).
She kept active till the old age and was normally working for television
from the 60's. To her last cinematical works belong "Unsere Jenny" (62),
the serial "Der kleine Doktor" (74), "Der Zauberberg" (82) and one episode
in the serial "Ein Heim für Tiere: Dr. Bayers Geheimnis" (86).
Besides her activity as an actress she also worked as an acting teacher
and introduced many future actors and actresses to this art form.
