The actress Emma Debner joined the film business in 1918 where she took part in few productions in the next years.
 
In her first movie "Lejah" (18) directed by Iwa Raffay she played the role of Mrs. Herblay at the side of Rudi Bach, Karl Berger, Hugo Flink, Martin Herzberg and Henri Peters-Arnolds.
 
It followed "Mutter Erde" (19), "Die törichte Jungfrau" (19), "Getäuscht" (20), as Countess Mirja "Der Hirt von Maria Schnee" (20) with Bruno Decarli, Guido Herzfeld, Paul Rehkopf and Ernst Rückert, "Mysterium" (21) and as Lore Manthey "Das Gespensterschloss" (22) with Carl Bernhardt and Fred Goebel.
