Josef Dischner

. The actor Josef Dischner made his stage debut in 1892 when he got his first engagement in Stuttgart. In the next years followed numerous engagements in Eisenach, Meiningen, Bern and Hanover. In the silent movie era of the 20s he impersonated few roles in movies like "Die schwarze Schachdame" (22), "Die Radio Heirat" (24) and "Neuland" (24). His appearances in front of the camera remained seldom in the sound film era of the 30s too. To his few movies of those years belong "Der weisse Gott/Eskimo" (30), "Das erste Recht des Kindes" (32), "Mach mich glücklich" (35) and "Gordian, der Tyrann" (37). Josef Dischner was married with the actress Margarete Dischner-Franke. |
