His literary works included “Der Herr von Abadessa” (02) and he wrote his most famous libretto for the operetta “Ein Walzertraum” by Oscar Straus. After his foray into the film business, he concentrated again on his writing and published books such as “Jazz” (25), “Make Me Your Mistress!” (28) and “Autumn in Europe,” which was only published years later after his death in 1937.
