. The Hungarian actress Lucy Doraine was born as Ilonka Kovács. Between 1914 and 1918 she played leading roles in many Hungarian movies of director and husband Mihály Kertész before they both shot more movies in Germany and Austria from 1919. There she appeared among others in the movies "Die Dame mit dem schwarzen Handschuh" (19), "Der Stern von Damaskus" (20), "Labyrinth des Grauens/Wege des Schreckens" (21) and "Sodom und Gomorrah" (22). The talkies ended the film career of Lucy Doraine. Her marriage with Mihály Kertész was dissolved in 1923,
Kertész became later world-famous as Michael Curtiz.
