. The actor Alexander Eckert already joined the film business in 1910 where he took part in the silent movie "Ringkampf Konkurrenz" (10). His real career began in 1916 and he impersonated numerous roles in the next years. To these works belong "Die Dame mit der Maske" (16), "Mein Wille ist Gesetz" (19), "Das Glück der Irren" (19), "Fidelio" (19) and "Madame DuBarry" (19). At the beginning of the 20s came his last cinematical works into being, often in important movies like "Menschen" (20), "Die Herrin der Welt, 8. Teil: Die Rache der Maud Fergusson" (20), "Johann Baptiste Lingg" (20), "Die Fürstin Woronzoff" (20), "Katharina die Grosse" (20) and "Ferréol" (20). Shortly afterwards Alexander Eckert died in 1920 at the age of 45 and his upcoming film career came to an abrupt end.
