The actress Clementia Egies joined the film business in 1936 and she made her screen debut with "Kinderarzt Dr. Engel" (36) in which she played the role of nurse Anne at Paul Hörbiger's side.

In the next years followed other movies where she normally played support roles.
to these movies belong "13 Stühle" (38) with Heinz Rühmann, Hans Moser and Annie Rosar, "Im Namen des Volkes" (39) with Rudolf Fernau and Fritz Kampers, "U-Boote westwärts!" (41) directed by Günther Rittau and in the role of Elisabeth von Rödern in "Die Affäre Rödern" (44) with Paul Hartmann.

After World War II she only took part in one more movie called "Vier Treppen rechts" (50) with Karin Hardt, Paul Klinger and Gustav Waldau.
