Leonore Ehn

1888 - 1978

.
.
The actress Leonore Ehn was primarily with the theater akvit, where she performed, among other things, for many years at the Schiller Theater in Berlin.

Her stage career was interrupted because her husband Hans von Zedlitz was of Jewish descent and the couple emigrated to Russia via Austria in 1935. But even there her husband was no longer safe after the Hitler-Stalin pact and after a short period of imprisonment the two returned to Germany, where Hans von Zedlitz was arrested again. He eventually emigrated to Switzerland, where he died in 1948.

In Germany Leonore Ehn was able to take part in two movies with the productions "Mädchen im Vorzimmer" (40) and "Der grosse König" (42).

She wasn't able to continue her stage career after the war and retired into private life.

Her son Gerd von Zedlitz (1923-1945) was a child actor at the theater.
