. The actor Kurt Ehrle was a regular actor in front of the camera from 1917 and he took part in many well-known productions of German silent movies. He made his film debut with "Auf Probe gestellt" (17) at Henny Porten's side, it followed "Der Weg, der zur Verdammnis führt" (18), "Lebendig tot" (18) with Lil Dagover, "Arme Lena!" (18) with Ressel Orla, "Baccarat" (19) and "Satanas" (19) directed by F.W. Murnau. In the 20's he appeared on the big screen often too. He played in "Der Dämon von Kolno" (20), "Der Schädel der Pharaonentochter" (20) at Emil Jannings' side, "Die Frau ohne Seele" (20) with Werner Krauss, "Mascotte" (20) and "Sodom und Gomorrha" (22). After that he concentrated again to the theater, only in the early talkies
he took part again in few movies like "Gefahren der Liebe" (31) and "Das
Tankmädel" (33).
