Else Ehser

. The actress Else Ehser got an acting education by Bruno Decarli and Gertrud Eysoldt before she appeared on stage in Zittau for the first time. In the next years followed engagements in Munich and Berlin. She entered the film business in 1931 and she impersonated support roles in many well-known movies. To her popular movies of the 30s belong "M" (31), "Mädchen in Uniform" (31), "Hanneles Himmelfahrt" (34), "Traumulus" (36), "Die gelbe Flagge" (37), "Tango Notturno" (37) and "Menschen vom Varieté" (39). During World War II she took part in the movies "Das leichte Mädchen" (40), "Die goldene Stadt" (42) and "Der Mann, dem man den Namen stahl" (44). She was able to continue both her stage and film career after the war and she appeared again in numerous productions. To these works belong "Die seltsamen Abenteuer des Herrn Fridolin B." (48), "Mädchen hinter Gittern" (49), "Unsterbliche Geliebte" (51), "Roman eines Frauenarztes" (54), "Roman einer Siebzehnjährigen" (55), "Teufel in Seide" (56), "...wie einst Lili Marleen" (56), "Elisabeth von England" (61) and "Das Schloss" (68).
