The director Muhsin Ertrugrul - also credited as Ertugrul Musshin-Bey or Ertougil Mouchein - joined the film business during his stay in Germany.

Er began his film career as a movie actor in productions like "Das Licht in der Nacht" (17), "Die Fürstin von Beranien" (18) and "Samson" (19).

For the last mentioned movie he was also responsible as a director  and one year later followed his secong movie as a director with "Das Fest der schwarzen Tulpe" (20).

In the 20s Mushin Ertugrul normally worked for his home country Turkey both as an actor and especially director.
To his works as a movie director belong "Istanbul' da istirap" (22), "Bogazici esrari" (22), "Atesten gömlek" (23),"Ankara postasi" (28) and "The Courier of Angola" (29).
As an actor he appeared in the movies "Bogazici esrari" (22), "Die Frau mit den Millionen" (23), "Ankara postasi" (28) and "The Courier of Angola" (29).

Muhsin Ertugrul concentrated to his career as director in the sound film era, as an actor he only appeared rarely.
To his works a movie director belong "Istanbul sokaklarinda" (31), "Karim beni aldatirsa" (33), "Milyon avcilari" (34), "Kakos dromos" (36), "Allah' in cenneti" (39), "Sehvet kurbani" (40), "Kiskanc" (42), "Evli mi bekar mi" (51) and "Halicki kiz" (53).

Besides his activity as a director and actor Muhsin Ertrgrul also wrote several screenplays and he was responsible as a producer for few movies.
